This paper is not extraordinary; it's paper. It's good for general purpose, but it's a tad thin for other tasks.

As for the condition of the case when it arrived, it was in perfect condition. The case was shipped in an outer shipping box that certainly protected it. Each ream has no tears, no bends, and no discoloration. Many have commented on the condition after shipping. I have a Prime membership, and perhaps due to the two-day shipping, there's less time for damage to occur during transport.

I ordered this GP 5-ream box case from Amazon late Friday 6/3/11 and received it Tuesday, 6/7/11 (I have Amazon Prime), as promised. All 5 reams were untorn and printer-ready. At the time I ordered, I had the choice of ordering this or ordering from my Office Depot for home delivery on Tuesday. Additionally, the Amazon price was $2 cheaper than the lowest price comparable paper at OD.

I am using the paper to print out lesson pdfs from an online class I am taking. I am printing with an HP Laserjet P1102w that I bought --- wait for it -- here at Amazon, a printer I LOVE. And the paper is performing wonderfully. The print is good, no jamming.

This is my first time ordering paper here at Amazon, compared with 20 years of buying paper at OD (I had a home accounting and tax biz before retiring in 2009). I am delighted. I purchased this box of paper for home use with a color laser printer. Unlike other reviewers, I have had no issues with the paper quality. I also don't find that this paper is any more prone to jamming up my printer than any other paper out there. This carton is a good price as compared to buying individual packages of paper at the store and should last a light or moderate user quite a while. I would recommend this product, but if you're really worried about the quality then go buy the more expensive stuff!
